Sundance wanted a fresh modern look that spoke to a new class of creatives. I gave them boards filled with clean lines, vibrant hues, and color dust.

These are some of the boards I created for the TLC Refresh Pitch.

Food Network asked for boards to promote there new show Chef vs City. They already had a show package and logo to work with. They also already had this silhouetted blue city graphic; as seen in the last frame of the boards. I used that palette and idea to start with.

My idea was making the show hosts larger then life. I wanted to give a new graphic twist on the huge person reaking havok in the city scenario. In the show, there is alot of running and high action sequences. So on my boards, I would have them run and leap through a super stylized city, with various neon signs showing various types of restaurants. In some of these signs we would see video for the show with a jumbotron effect; Food Network requested a creative way to highlight show footage. We also see various closeups of the chefs limbs in action moves, as they picked up various large kitchen items. It ends with them having all their gear, running out of the city.

This was project was done with Favorite Color.

I was asked to come up with some boards for ABC Network’s Presidential Conventions ‘08 coverage. ABC requested using the voting booth as the primary icon; since voting in this last election was so important.

Idea A: Video clips are separated into individual frames; and laid out in order in virtual space. The camera dips and flies by frozen frames creating a moving video. The clips resolve into a clean image of a voting booth in its powerful solitude.

Idea B: Video clips of relevant ‘08 election themes with either voting or convention items as part of the landscape. The clips will slice on the screen, freeze, then separate slightly with a camera move. Clips end with a sharp resolve into a clean image of a voting booth.
